About daily disposables

Understanding daily disposable lenses

Daily disposable ("dailies") lenses are worn once and discarded at the end of the day: no cases, no solutions, and no cumulative deposits. This modality has the strongest hygiene and compliance profile and is often the safest choice for part-time wearers, allergy sufferers, teenagers, and anyone prone to inconsistent lens-care habits.

The table above lists daily disposable options with their materials, oxygen performance (Dk), base curves and available powers. Note that replacement schedule (how often the lens is discarded) is separate from wear schedule (whether it may be worn overnight).

Are dailies more expensive than reusables?

Per-day cost is usually higher for full-time wear, but once solution costs and the lower complication risk are factored in, dailies are frequently the best value, especially for occasional wearers. See replacement schedules compared.

Can daily disposables be worn overnight?

No. Daily disposables are designed to be removed and discarded each day. Overnight wear requires a lens specifically approved for extended wear and is a separate clinical decision.
