Understanding monthly replacement lenses
Monthly replacement lenses are worn (with nightly removal and disinfection) and replaced once per month. They are typically the most economical reusable modality and offer the broadest parameter availability. Many complex toric and multifocal prescriptions are only made in monthly form. The trade-off is the greatest reliance on good lens care and the highest cumulative deposit exposure within each cycle.

Does "monthly" mean I can sleep in them?
Not necessarily. Replacement schedule (monthly) is separate from wear schedule (daily vs extended wear). Only lenses specifically approved for overnight wear may be slept in.
Why is lens care so important with monthlies?
Because the same lens is reused for up to a month, deposits and microbial risk accumulate. Correct disinfection, case hygiene and on-time replacement are essential to safe wear.
